David Nieuwoudt 為南非十大酒莊之一「Cederberg」的第五代莊主，多年來秉持著尊重大自然以及人道管理的理念在經營酒莊; Julio Bouchon 的家族於 120 多年前從波爾多遷移至智利後就開始了釀酒工作，2018 年酒莊開始有機種植，並被 Decanter 評為南美洲十大釀酒師之一。

兩人在一年一度的倫敦葡萄酒博覽會上相識且分享彼此釀酒的想法，「蛇首」的誕生就是由 Bouchon 家族以及 Nieuwoudt 家族於 2012 年所創立的計畫， 他們根據葡萄品種在最合適的位置生產葡萄酒，真正反映智利的風土多樣性，並且成功地結合、展現出不同於一般智利產區的特色品種酒款。

Longaví 的意思是“蛇的頭”，也是安第斯山脈腳下的一座火山的名字，標籤上的藤蔓花環表示 Ourobos，這是一個古老的非洲符號，代表大自然生 生不息的循環。

「橘酒」因近幾年自然派葡萄酒的興起而吸引了眾人的目光，看似新穎的酒款，其實在舊世界許多國家早有千年的釀造歷史。橘酒有別於一般白酒的釀造手法，經過長時間的浸皮發酵來取的金黃琥珀色的葡萄酒，並透過果皮萃取了更豐富的果味以及丹寧，它具有複雜層次的個性風味，將自然酒愛好者的心一一收服。酒莊使用智利的 Moscatel (Ｍuscat) 麝香葡萄釀造，清晨進行人工採收，採收後立刻放置陶甕中浸皮發酵，壓榨完再放回陶甕裏頭進行 12 個月的陳年時間，最後裝瓶。
