E. Guigal即使被稱為隆河酒王也不過過，創立於 1946年座落於Cote-Rotie的Ampuis村莊, 建築取名為Chateau Ampuis, 也是現今Guigal的總部。有不少葡萄酒愛好人士的第一瓶隆河酒就是從E.Guigal開始。 知名酒評家Robert Parker對釀酒師Marcel Guigal更是給予相當高的肯定，在早期便引進新式的釀酒技術也同時重視自然，使兩者在酒款中創造出絕佳的和諧感。 使用低溫泡皮延長浸皮時間, 晚收成為了使葡萄得到絕佳的成熟度, 低產量、不使用化學原料與減少人為干預等等。所有酒款都於橡木桶中陳年，連入門酒款Cotes-du-Rhone也經過至少一年的桶陳，頂級酒款將拉長到38個月以上。 最出名酒款為位於Cote-Rotie 的三款單一園酒款, 包含La Mouline, La Landonne, La Turque 每年只有幾百箱的產量，可說是隆河最具代表性也是藏家爭相購買的頂尖酒款。
